Ibis fail to inform you that this hotel also houses assilum applicants. Was greeted with some very unsavoury sights and practices at breakfast. Feel cheated that we were not given this information before booking. I tried to contact Ibis about this but had no response

I recently stayed at ibis Leicester City for four nights and had a great experience. The hotel was very clean and quiet, making it a comfortable place to rest after a long day. Perfect for visiting The Curve theatre. Check in seamless, we arrived early to store our luggage but rooms were ready and we were able to check in early. Parking limited but we were lucky enough to get spaces. Rooms small but adequate, pillows awful!

The rooms are well designed, so although small, they do not feel cramped. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. The bathroom had a large walk in shower cubicle. My main criticism was the mattress, which was firm but not supportive. It was hard to get comfortable. Our air conditioning was not working, which didn't help either. Reception is also the bar and breakfast room. It is well furnished. Breakfast is good value and there is a wide selection of hot food and continental options. Checkin and checkout was very easy. We were able to park free of charge in the small hotel car park. Staff in the hotel were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. They made our brief stay very enjoyable.

Easy to check in and the staff were lovely. But the room was noisy and bed was uncomfortable, hard and creaky. The location is convenient for the station but the wrong side of town for the nicer restaurants and bars. Stains on bedding, holes in curtains. Ibis pod bathrooms are average but the shower was fine. Old, small TV on the wall. It's a budget hotel, but quality was still below expectations. I'd pay a bit more for something better next time.
