We chose not to eat breakfast in the hotel, so cannot comment. We had an evening meal 1 night, and the food was delicious. On arrival, our room - 722- felt cold, but we left our luggage and went straight out again. When we came back the room was still cold. The thermostat was set at 32, but it room temperature was no where need that. We went out for a meal, and on returning the room fely very cold . I contacted reception, and a man came up to check. He pressed some buttons, said it was working, and warm air was coming out of the grill. We were so cold, that we went to bed with socks and dressing gowns on.
The room wamed up over night, and by morning, it was pleasantly warm. However, when we left the room again, on returning it was cold. Also the corridor on the 7th floor was chilly, as were the lounge and dining areas.
We stayed at your hotel on the 2 coldest night of the year, but we expected Holiday inn would be able to cope.
It might have helped if there had been instruction on how to work the heating controls.
Incidentally, friends who also stayed on the 7 floor, had the same experience.
They were offered an extra heater on their 2nd night.
