"The room was very nice, well maintained. A little cool in the morning as the heat did not work. The restaurant was terrible. Ordered a grilled cheese sandwich, it was as hard as a rock, I could not eat it. Breakfast was not much better. I broke a tooth eating the bacon."

"Emerald Lake Lodge was excellent, you cannot beat the location. The property was very well maintained, kept clean and accessible. Improvements: the pillows weren't very comfortable, too flat, and having lunch at Cilantro on the Lake and not being able to get coffee! Coffee should be served at all dining establishments :)"

"Unique location however the inside of the hotel did not reflect the Canadian Rockies. It looked like any other Fairmont. There were a few paintings at the checkin desk thrown in for atmosphere. Disappointed overall. Hotel rooms were nothing special either."

"The furniture was extremely worn and beat up. Even the fireplace was all scratched up. The lamp shades were stained. The room door was beat up as though someone had tried to pry it open. The breakfast was very lack luster. The parking was very, very tight. Now, I am a realist. I stayed here due to the lower price point. So, my expectations were not set high. However, I did not expect to get such low quality for the price I paid. I canceled the remaining nights and booked a hotel in Banff for 3x...

"The hotel is conveniently located where food/eatery/gas are just nearby/walkable. Staffs were very friendly. Room was clean & spacious. We were at level 2, no lift but okay to carry up our bags. We love the breakfast, simple yet delicious; daily options vary from sausages, bacon, waffles DIY, hash browns they were cooked so well, one of the best ^^ at the reception area too they provided coffee, tea, apples & cookies (love em’ so much!). Overall pleased with the stay, will definitely come back...

"Great place! We've stayed here a few times now and it never disappoints. Nice and quiet despite being right next to the main highway. The individual cabins each have their own floor plan and unique features, so every stay will be different. We brought a cooler of food and sat out on the patio to eat dinners. Lovely, quiet and woodsy. The area surrounding is a lovely wooded community with light traffic and nice amenities."

"The staff were amazing as were the views. Easy walk to Lake Louis lakeshore. About 40 minutes uphill. Very comfortable and convenient. And the coffee was amazing. The TV didn't work while we were there but we were out most of the time so didn't really notice."

"I had a wonderful stay at Buffalo Mountain Lodge in Banff. The hotel staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. The property was well maintained, and the location was convenient for enjoying Banff and the surrounding area. I especially enjoyed the cozy fireplaces, the hot tub, and the hotel restaurant, the Prow. These touches made the stay feel relaxing and memorable. Overall, I had a great experience and would happily recommend this hotel to others visiting Banff."

"Very accommodating staff, bedroom clean and tidy. The pool was good, but the hot tub wasn't working. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but went to a great burger place (Patty's )in the square opposite. You pay for parking, $10.00 a night+gst. About a 30 minutes walk to the centre."
