"This was a great stay! The cabins seemed brand new. Everything was spotless and very comfortable. The cabins are located right off the main road near a small grocery store and other restaurants which was convenient. It is perfectly situated if you are planning to see Golden Circle sites. We really enjoyed our stay here!"

"A handsome historic building in a lovely and convenient spot. We had a family room that didn’t quite match expectations based on the photos and description, but it was fine. The lobby sitting area was also lovely with lots of character and the breakfast room made me feel like I was there in the 1940s as a boarding school student — in a good way. The breakfast buffet selection was solid, with delicious bread and skyr and plenty more."

"This place is BRAND NEW! GREAT way to spend a night. It's like the world's best modular container home. We arrived late (10pm) and were able to get into our "home" using the code on the door. Very straight forward. What I did not appreciate was the laundry list of what we had to do: make our own bed at 10 pm, next day put away the bed (it's a couch) and take trash out, start dishwasher, etc etc etc. I am on vacation, I can do chores back home. "Very unresponsive. Tried to call them and message them almost 50 times to change checkin date. Expedia was unsuccessful in contacting them. Finally when they answered they said they will not change the date."

"We stayed just for one night erupts to Vik. Nice property, close to Selfoss, reasonably priced for Iceland prices. Kitchen is well equipped. Many other facilities such as hot tub, on site cafe etc which we couldn’t use due to lack of time. Highly recommended for visiting National park, Geysir and Gullfoss waterfalls."

"The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet in the morning was also excellent. The hotel itself is a bit secluded which I enjoyed, and the closest town, Selfoss, is about 15-20min drive so be mindful of that if you prefer to be somewhere that’s walkable to Selfoss. Overall it’s a great location. Very scenic and easy access to the Golden Circle and South Coast, and just 1-hour outside of Reykjavik if you want to visit the city."

The bad: the temperature downstairs (living room and kitchen) was very hot without any way to turn it down. "The 5 star reviews are definitely fake, property is not maintained, rooms are not sound proof, not shower after hot tub, receptionist didn’t offer a free drinks that was included in my Expedia package being a VIP member. At sub $200 you can find better properties.."

"This place is magical! The lodge has everything you could need. The hot tub and sauna are amazing! The heated floors throughout felt amazing! Loved all the little touches. It was super clean and the beds were very comfortable! The shower was super hot. The space is well done. The best part is the views!
