4 night stay for friends wedding

This B & B is run by Ryan and his mother from Derbyshire in England. It’s a very beautiful and peaceful place to stay. They are very helpful and very nice with nothing too much of a problem. Very knowledgable of the local area and full of ideas and information of places to visit and things to do. The accommodation itself is very clean and looked after. A continental breakfast is provided each morning. I would highly recommend staying here.

Le charme des auberges de Grande Bretagne

Pourtant, le temps ne s'y prêtait pas. Un crachin désagréable nous a accueilli mais l'amabilité, l'ambiance et le charme du lieu nous a tout de suite rassurés. Deux anglais, mère et fils, sont les maitres des lieux, une bâtisse totalement isolée dans la campagne. Pas forcément engageant au départ mais ils ont su lui donner tout le charme des auberges "british". Une toute petite difficulté, la barrière de la langue facilement surmontée par mon anglais scolaire et leur bonne volonté. Le confort de la literie et des installations sanitaires nous a totalement satisfaits. Idem pour le petit déjeuner : excellent yaourt et confitures faits maison, le reste à l'avenant. Un court moment hors du temps et des tracasseries. Si nous repassons dans le coin, nous y reviendrons, ne serait-ce que pour prendre de leurs nouvelles. Si vous aimez le charme anglais, n'hésitez pas. Même le prix est attractif.

Gite au calme dans un environnement paradisiaque. Petit déjeuner pantagruélique avec des bonnes confitures, yaourts maison et fraises du jardin. J espère y revenir cet été.

Rapport qualité prix très moyen

Échanges difficile avec l'hôte. On ne sait pas vraiment si c'est simplement la barrière de la langue ou si on dérange. Chambre très petite mais relativement bien équipé. Café et thé a disposition dans la partie commune. Isolation très moyenne si d'autres occupants sont a côté. Il faut aimer la proximité. Endroit reculé et calme. Jolie vue sur les extérieurs. Les chiens sont les bienvenus, mais vue la taille de la pièce ce n'est vraiment pas simple. Pareil avec un enfant. Il faut prévoir lit parapluie et chaise haute pour les plus petits. Rien n'est pensé pour eux. Petit déjeuner simple avec quelques produits fait maison ( pain et confitures) Peut être pas mal si vous voyagez seul ou à deux sans attente particulières. Si vous aimez discuter avec vos hôtes ou que vous aimez être au calme sans voisins, passez votre chemin. A mon sens, trop cher pour cette expérience.

Un très bel endroit avec une hôtesse adorable. On se sent tout de suite à l'aise et au calme. La maison est vraiment belle, est bien située si l'on recherche le calme et la sérénité. Le petit déjeuner a été partagé avec d'autres voyageurs autour de la table commune, ce qui est très appréciable. La majorité des produits proposés était faits maison. Petit problème concernant la taxe de séjour que nous pensions déjà payée via la réservation sur Expedia: n'ayant pas de liquide sur nous, l'hôtesse a gentillement accepté que nous lui envoyions le restant dû par poste le jour de notre retour chez nous. Un grand merci à elle pour sa flexibilité!

Unfortunately we had wanted twin beds and when we arrived only doubles were available. Just wish we had known before we got to the house as it spoilt the evening.

Quiet and peaceful

A lovely quiet b&b, with friendly and welcoming hosts. Clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Lovely continental breakfast. Would definitely stay again!
