"Went on a couple's trip - 1 night in Rio Location: Perfect. Right off the main road, minutes from the the popular Selaron steps & walking distance from the Metropolitan Cathedral and other great attractions. Staff: Helpful, fun and English-speaking. Room: just as pictured. Clean, working AC & clean air Vibe: Picturesque the roof top was a great night vibe - order a Caipirinha and just chill. Or have dinner before heading up to your room."

"I very much enjoyed my stay at Vila Galé! The staff were excellent from check in to check out, the property itself is beautiful in an old, but updated colonial property. I stayed in one of the apartments right beside the pool and terrace, and even while you were situated with a walkway outside the room, I felt safe and comfortable enough to open the windows wide and take a nap or do whatever within the room. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to explore the beautiful Rio de Janeiro!"

"Hotel looks very modern. The room is equipped with brand new furniture and all works well. The staff is so kind and helpful. Only issue I had is the noise done by other rooms upstairs. I have very positive to this hotel"

"They've made a lot of improvements and upgrades to the hotel. The only issue is Wi-Fi which is going to be a problem since this is an old building with marble. It is a very beautiful building to look at especially the center of it and it is close to everything you need from transportation to restaurants. It's also close to a lot of bars and pubs and nightlife. The only thing that I wish is that we would go back to using ethernet internet. Sad to say though, those days are long gone and we'll have to stick with Wi-Fi. Oh I was saying that room service from the restaurant and the food is good."
