After a long bike ride, my stay here was an absolute blessing. Early check in, a chance to recover and an excellent meal in the restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff

A very traditional French provincial hotel of the old school. Nothing wrong with that! Just what we were looking for. Laon is a great stopover location on the way south or north. Plenty to see and good places to eat.

A hotel with character but in need of renovation. Rooms quite dusty but comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful and the evening meal excellent. Breakfast was average.

Great stay, great location, great staff.

Excellent location in Laon. Husband and wife staff were extremely friendly and helpfull. We'd hoped to dine on site for our evening meal. Their restaurant was closed and they found us an alternative restaurant and made a dinner reservation for us. I was recovering from a cold and the owner prepared me a hot lemon honey and ginger drink to have before I went to bed. Even made me one the following morning. To some the hotel may feel dated, but out group of 8 loved the sense of history the hotel had. The building has heritage status and should I ever find myself back in Laon, I would definitely stay here again.

Extremely friendly and helpful hosts. Rooms comfortable but a little faded. Wifi signal didnt reach my bedroom on second floor. Excellent location in the medieval city. Make sure you book parking in the private garage in advance.

Lovely old hotel near the cathedrale. The owner was so nice, very welcoming and thoughtful. It is old and it could do with some tlc but I would stay here again. Its not ideal for families or anyone with mobility problems as it doesn't have a lift but we managed okay (onlt one flight of stairs) and it's clear when you book it you are staying in an old hotel which is part of its charm. Public parking just round the back if you don't make his onside garage in time. He charges 10 euro for parking if you do. Restaurant wasn't open when we were there so noting it's a small town with limited opening hours get there us time for dinner out! Options within a few minutes walk.

Hotellets alder matcher interiør

Meget imødekommende personale. Søde og rare. Hotellets værelser og adgang der til fremstår og er enormt slidt. Det er et gammelt hotel, og det ses tydeligt. Dørene til værelserne kunne næsten ikke låses. Det var gamle “kommodenøgler”og løse håndtag. Nusset og beskidt på værelset. Især under vinduerne hvor “væskesprøjt” var alle steder. Badeværelset er umådelig småt. Wc’et stod løst og det var faktisk svært at komme til. Man skal ikke være højere end 175cm, så bliver man udfordret i siddende stilling. Det samme er sig gældende i bruseren/badekar. Morgenmad er 12euro pr mand. I forhold til udvalg havde den lokale bager og en pakke smør gjort det samme. Vi synes det var ærgerlige penge.

Medieval city on a hill

Friendly, clean, comfortable and easily accessible (by bus No 4 from gare. Stop at Gambetta) is how we would describe this hotel. Within walking distance of the cathedral, art museum, Templers chapel, Port d’Ardon, and some very nice lookout points. Nearby, there are many restaurants and bars. The hotel serves breakfast too.

Piacevole scoperta

Hotel in stile classico inserito in pieno centro a Laon. Il personale (composto durante il mio soggiorno da una sola persona) è stato gentile e disponibile, la camera pulita e ben tenuta e la colazione buona. Buon rapporto qualità prezzo: unica pecca il parcheggio a pagamento (7€), all'interno di un garage adiacente all'edificio.

Hotel fait pour ceux qui aiment l'ancien. Plancher en bois (en entant les autres occupants marcher dans leurs chambres), plomberie apparente dans la salle de bain. Prevoir les bouchons d'oreilles car on entend bien la rue. L'entrée du parking privé est tres juste, attention a la carrosserie de votre voiture. Préférez vous garer dans la rue. Sinon, l'hotel est bien situé, dans le centre medieval. Restaurants et bar a proximité.

Très bon séjour

Hôtel dans son jus. Malgré une décoration un peu vieillotte, l'hôtel est propre. Le personnel est très sympathique et à l'écoute des clients. La literie est confortable et l'hôtel est très calme. Idéalement situé dans le quartier historique. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Je précise que j'ai bénéficié d'une offre promotionnelle puisque ma chambre était à 50 euros.

Lots of character in a real old-fashioned French hotel, and the man in charge is lovely! Super helpful and charming. We were there just before New Year, and the restaurant was closed, but he gave us a good recommendation for another one. The room was enormous, bathroom also. Breakfast is typical continental style: adequate.
