"Great breakfast. Staff were lovely. Public rooms have been well updated and look great. But our bedroom had had ½ a makeover. New bathroom. But no internal phones, wardrobes are out of the ark, doors have very old lock system. No safe. No interactive tv screen. Hot water very hit and miss. Doors and frames have been repainted but are clearly very old and look very old! The view from the room was awful. Over looking old part of the building, rusting down pipes and unpainted rotting windows. Bed...

We are high end travellers and this is probably the best service we have ever experienced. The staff were very attentive and obviously take great pride in their work and the property. The food quality was excellent and consequently we ate there most nights."
"It was our first trip to Cornwall and we stayed at this hotel for 9 nights. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and gave useful tips for our trip, such as taking the train from St Erth to get to St Ives (i.e. don't drive!). We booked this hotel as we wanted to have access to a pool with our young children and the facilities were great, and also included a hot tub. Breakfast was always great and the staff were friendly and attentive, and there are options to cater for coeliacs like myself....
"The welcome was very nice when we arrived.
But when we got to our room there was only one towel and robe for two of us and no decent mugs to have a cup of tea.
The breakfast the following morning was very busy, and the coffee machine always needed service and the coffee was not up to the right temperature. We sat down and felt like we were forgotten due to the amount of people at the same time having breakfast.
Over all for what we paid it felt like we were short changed.
