Property advertised as historic and fine lodging however we were given a run down small apartment in a front house up large flight of stairs with outside broken porch stairs. Plumbing was broken and kitchenette sink bubbled up and shot up dirty waste water smelling like sewer. We did not see brown water everywhere until second night because we did not use that area until then. We heard something and smelled but didn’t find it until 2nd night. Shower leaked, blinds broken and furniture like garage sale finds. Cob webs and we had spiders. Upon arrival there was no parking and we were directed to property next door which they said they owned also but was other businesses area. We had to bring all of our belongings from that location. Were told wedding so we thought just that time. The entire stay we had to park off site because entire lot filled with wedding guests. We were told no other rooms because full due to wedding. Upon check out I addressed all of the details with pictures and was refunded 20% once we got home from Expedia account. Restaurant was excellent but everything else we experienced was not at all what was presented in advertisement and very disappointing. Perhaps other rooms ok but our setting was not acceptable or suited for stay especially because of plumbing and broken stairs to access house area. We were not told room was up large flight of stairs and if we were not fit we would not be able to climb not carry belongings up. Sad experience.
