"Amanda was lovely: very helpful and she made such delicious breakfasts every morning fresh. The house is charming. It feels like it’s in the middle of the quaintest tiny villages but Hartford is under 30 minutes away and New Haven was an easy 45 minutes. The bed was comfortable and the room was huge. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"A disappointing stay. Areas of the property are run down, and there appears to be a lot of unfinished projects. This itself is tolerable, and the staff I met were pleasant, but the level of cleanliness was not acceptable. The bottoms of my feet were black with grime and dirt after an hour of getting things set up in our room, which suggests to me a long-term lack of cleaning. The landscaping was well taken care of, but more effort needs to be spent on things like fixing and cleaning the floors."

"This is a truly lovely property. The grounds are exquisite and include a 75' lap pool and lovely patio and area for artist retreats. Nice robes, comfy linens, a fabulous shower. Fireplace that throws a good amount of heat and easy to use air conditioning. Good instruction book. Some small details were overlooked--a nice coffee nook to make tea or coffee but no water available to use or drink."

"I think the only positive, convenient aspect of our stay was parking. Room condition: They didn't have the room type that we booked, so we wound up without a microwave or fridge. The light in the bathroom didn't work, so we had to shower and use the restroom in the dark. There were bugs (mainly flies) all over the room, and we got bitten by them multiple times.
