Let me begin by saying that the golf course staff was excellent as were the servers at the poolside restaurant/bar. That's where it ends. At 2:00 pm check-in we were told by person at front desk that room wasn't ready and she would call us. While lots of other wedding party guests checked-in, we never received a call. At 5:00 pm we finally went back to the desk to check-in. No apology or interest that we had been waiting. The room HVAC was always either too cold or too hot. The thermostat clearly was not functioning properly. Telephone by bed did not work. No spare toilet paper in room and we had to go to front desk to get some. Bathroom door did not stay shut without holding it,and squeaked loudly, Bed mattress was sagging and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the wind was very strong all weekend which filled the pool with leaves and debris. The pool attendant never once got out of her chair to do anything for the 2 1/2 hours we were there, and I overheard another guest complaining about not using strainer to clean the pool, she just sat there. Lastly, the responses from front desk and management staff when we inquired about things were a lesson in how not to respond to a guest. In response to a question about the room not having been cleaned yet on day 2, the person told us that "we only clean every 3 days, we aren't the Marriott!" Rates they charged for the weekend were higher than any Marriott property we checked in Milwaukee for lesser quality and service. Do not recommend.
