Los lagos de campos is a wonderful stay for La Fortuna area for those wanting to be away from the business of the town. The property is in a quiet community, secured by a gate, and absolutely beautiful and quiet. The houses are modern and newly built, small, yet spacious, full of windows for natural light. AC was wonderful. Lots of nature around. Pool was excellent. The host was very gracious and helpful. Only 18min from downtown La Fortuna.

Property is like brand new and in excellent shape. We stayed in casa hobbit for 2 nights. Very high-tech appliances which I could have done without. No dishwasher but otherwise the kitchen was very well stocked. There was no communication from the property owner on how to enter, that was a hurdle that we had to overcome and the owner also didn’t speak English so that was another hurdle in any communication that we wanted to have. The air conditioner in one of the bedrooms and the living area kept shutting off leaving the house very warm. There’s a constant running fan in the bathroom, that was annoying. The beds were not comfortable at all, the pillows were like rock hard. Getting woken up at 5 AM every morning by the rooster on property wasn’t fun, also the barking dogs. Overall, the property is absolutely stunning, but we would not stay again. Area outside of the gated complex was a little sketchy as well. You definitely need a car if you plan on getting around the area. Cool pool in front of the house, we didn’t use it.

Clean and quiet lodge with kitchen with all the equipment you need. Tuscan visit to the windows every morning was quite special. One request is to please add some bird saver decals to the windows to prevent these Toucan’s collisions to the window glass.
