"I went in expecting an average 3-star experience, but Carter Creek completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment we arrived, everything felt warm and welcoming — the staff were genuinely friendly, the grounds were beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere was so relaxing. Our room was spotless & spacious. We also enjoyed the restaurant; the food was far better than we expected with generous portions and great presentation. What really impressed me was how well everything was thought out — from the easy check-in to the cozy outdoor areas where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch the sunset. It felt like the perfect weekend escape. I came in thinking it would be “fine” and left planning my next visit. If you’re on the fence, give it a try — you might be just as surprised as I was!"

"We checked in on Saturday by 3:00 pm had to be moved from our first room because the toilet was leaking. No big problem as we moved to the room next door. About 9:00 pm, we found out we had no hot water because a boiler was out. My husband found out that 3 buildings had no hot water, and there were no open rooms in the building that did have hot water. On Sunday morning, we had a shockingly cold shower. After sweltering in the hot temperatures all day Sunday, we were able to get a slightly warmer shower. By Monday morning, there was plenty of hot water to shower for our trip home. The amenities at this hotel are very nice and we will return. "

"This is not the right place for you if you want hustle and bustle. It’s quiet but you can still see other guests if you want to. Love the personal fire pit and the lead so we could keep our dog with us. They thought of everything you might want—even a smores kit. It’s not “roughing it.” Good water pressure, cold AC, comfortable bed. Units are small but make the most of the space. Gorgeous picture window from which we watched a herd of deer run by one morning. Memorable trip. Highly recommend. Relaxing stay."

"A great little escape. This is a great property and we had a fun ‘escape’. We stayed in one of the yurts for two nights and it was great. The AC worked very well and there are a lot of fun things to do on the property and in the area. We really enjoyed the pool and longing there. The property looks just as good as the photos!"
