"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "This is a beautiful property exactly what you would imagine as Bali villa of your dreams with a mini pool. Their staff is their greatest asset, they are friendly and helpful. However our stay there was abysmal. When we arrived at the property we were not given the villa as advertized "

"They have 3 villas. Be mindful that it's more like a private house. I had trouble finding the location, the address in Bali is not as exact as I anticipated, so I kind of had to guess the closest landmark when I booked a transport. It is kind of out of nowhere, so I spent 3 days of tranquility. The villa is beautiful, nicely maintained, you have a full kitchen so I could cook from my own grocery. "The property is good. Friendly and excellent staff. Nice breakfast. Indoor pool was awesome. The only drawback was food at the end of the day. Gojek had a tough time getting drivers to deliver food because the place was kind of remote. Nothing to do with the property "

"We liked everything! The place is very quiet in a tranquil forest. Pande is the best, this guy is doing literally everything for the guests to have a lovely stay! Villas are spacious, clean and a really nice design. It's absolutely gorgeous to wake up and enjoy the view and the sound of birds and river! Breakfast very delicious. All staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone that enjoys nature! Lovely place!! Thank you our brother Pande! Greetings...

"Spacious room with high ceilings, carved wooden door, balcony facing the rice fields, tiled flooring kept clean throughout the stay, large bathtub. Electric mosquito repellent provided, 2 bottles of water every day. The breakfast was pretty good and comes with a fruit platter and tea/coffee/juice, and we got the chance to order something different every night from their menu. Free shuttle (with 15-20min notice) to and from Ubud central, which was helpful as the location is some distance away. Staff was polite, friendly and helpful. Minor inconveniences: not many hooks in the bathroom to hang stuff up, hairdryer was very weak. But overall a wonderful, very affordable stay!"

"The only negative aspect that I care to mention is that the room I had on the 2nd floor was not as quiet as expected. I could hear my neighbor next door in the bathroom and my upstairs neighbor walking around. They weren't doing anything crazy so the room could use better spund isolation. "
