"We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Isartor. The hotel is centrally located and easily walkable to transit (less than 5 minutes) and the Marienplatz (about 10 minutes). The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the river and consequently also received sun all day long so it was a bit warm, despite having a few windows. However, when we mentioned this to the front desk staff, they arranged to have a portable air conditioner to our room within an hour (without us asking). ...

"Overall one night stop over stay was good. Hotel is clean and modern with a grocery store convenient located in front. However good signage would help as we just come off a huge roundabout and there are so many structures blocking the view of the hotel from the road that one is not sure where to enter to reach the hotel. "Most significant complaint was the telephone and Internet service were down. During check-out, we were forced to pay by cash as their credit card machines were also not working. This is a significant issue. Very unpleasant situation to surprise guests by making them pay the full bill in cash without prior notice. Their systems were down at least 2 days. "

"We stayed 4 nights at the Hotel Isartor. The hotel is centrally located and easily walkable to transit (less than 5 minutes) and the Marienplatz (about 10 minutes). The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room had a great view of the river and consequently also received sun all day long so it was a bit warm, despite having a few windows. However, when we mentioned this to the front desk staff, they arranged to have a portable air conditioner to our room within an hour (without us asking). The room was well kept and spacious (we had a family room with 3 adults staying). They have parking arrangements with the garage next door. If you are renting a vehicle and need parking, our recommendation would be to go with a smaller vehicle as the parking spaces and access are tight. We have no hesitation in recommending the Hotel Isartor for your stay in Munich."
