"Great view from windows. Comfortable beds. Well appointed en-suite but could benefit from hand hold in shower. Also plumbing was very noisy. Very helpful staff and beautiful sitting are on ground floor. Over all a lovely place to stay and very close to historic and interesting places to visit and many good places to eat. "

"I really liked this place for the most part. The location was good for everything touristy, it was equipped with everything you need to cook, the bathroom was clean with nice water pressure, dishwasher worked well, nice view, the staff were friendly enough without being over the top. I LOVED the towel warmer and turned it on about 30 mins before I took a shower to warm up the bathroom. "I liked but didn’t love the stay at this hotel . Things we liked : clean, spacious, having a washer, nice and walkable center. I didn’t like the fact that we had trouble with the hot water the first day and night and, overall, I expected more from a 5 star hotel ( daily room keeping ?! ). Probably we won’t return as we really loved the 4 star place we stayed before but they were booked when we decided to stay longer so we had to find another hotel. "

"Excellent stay at the Cheval The Edinburgh Grand. It is located in the New Town area but it is a short walk to Old Town. We found it was a nice respite to leave the Old Town area due to how busy it is (think Times Square busy). Every person we encountered at the hotel was extremely nice and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. would highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh."

"Absolutely gorgeous little flat with spectacular views. Amazing private lounge with cakes and coffee availble at all times made the trip extra special. Fantastic location not far walk from Waverley train station. The street a bit noisy but double glazed windows, black out blinds and central air conditioning made sure that wasnt an issue. Shower was fantastic too. Staff/hotel very communicative over text and email. Kirsty was fantastic getting us checked in late! "

"The worst part of our stay was the initial climb to the third floor with our luggage. Unbeknownst to us at the moment, this trek became a perfect training for the following day’s climb to Arthur’s Seat! We were quite happy with the location and the parking arrangement with St. James Place which was just a short ten minute walk to our unit. "On a 2 week Euro-trip, this was my fav stay. The staff was friendly, the place was easy to navigate. No issues with any outlets or appliances. Shopping & food was closeby - we didn't use transit once just because it was THAT walkable. Will def be coming back the next time I come to Edinburgh. made my stay enjoyable in edinburgh
"one of the best hotel room, i have ever stayed. the lobby is nice, the room is huge and even nicer. they refill the water, but towards the end of our stay, they no longer refill the snack. otherwise the room is nice as per picture, bonus it is just 3 mins walk from the train station, so if your journey is late at night, this hotel is just close by to the train station and royal mile."
