We booked the hotel through Wotif and went to the reception, but they kept asking whether we had made the payment. We sent the receipt along with the confirmation. However, we were given a room that was not clean—the TV didn’t work, and there was hair everywhere. About 30 minutes later, they came to our room again and asked us to send the receipt once more. We felt embarrassed, as if we hadn’t paid and were trying to stay for free. Not recommended at all. Please stay away.

Nice hotel if you’re in the area.
Bedroom very clean. Bed comfortable. Restaurant very good - liked the food a lot. Staff very friendly and helpful - they deal with your requests promptly - they book transport for you. AC dripped water occasionally. Hot water not always available.

overall terrible experince.we were offered a cheap room without AC.even fan was not working.they have hidden tv remote.which i requested several times they did not care to give another room.worst hotel room o stayed in my life ever.such a cheap staff.we only stayed 1 hour in the room.when we check in an out we had to wait aroud half an hour at reception.bullshit

Cheap hotel to stay
Reception is ok, but room services are poor, not responding immediately. Breakfast has lots of varieties but cold foods or may be not fresh. In room dining menu is with old prices and billed with new charges.

Needs a cleaner bathroom
Staff not understanding English is bad and not very helpful ordered dinner for 10 of us asked for a vegetable rice no chille well got vegetables rice with heaps of chille spoke in both English and singhalese very disappointing

Bad service and dirty room
Me and my fiancee checked in at the Hotel Clarion Kiribathgoda. After about 45 minutes - 1 hour in the lobby we finally got our room (Trouble with the hotels.com booking). When we finally got the room we weren't satisfied with the standard (Dirty, a lot of water dripping from the AC and the smell of smoke in the whole room). I went to the reception and asked the staff if we could swith to a better room and that I was willing to pay the difference. I was then told that the hotel was completely booked and that they couldn't do anything. I then went back to our room and booked another Hotel. When we went out with our bags and said that we were checking out the guy asked us to wait and called the manager. The manager then offered us a much better room free of charge (Suddenly the hotel wasn't full anymore and there was a room..) We declined that offer since we had allready booked another Hotel. Though we were informed that we would most likely be able to get a refund of our money. Still waiting for that refund..
This hotel is 10k from central Colombo. A 45 minute bus ride away. It is used mainly by Sri Lankans. If you are looking for a budget and basic hotel it fits the bill. Book via Expedia as it's cheaper that way. The staff are friendly and helpful and can help make arrangements for trips etc.
A boutique hotel it isn't so don't expect that standard. You pay for what you get at the end of the day.

A complete disguise
Don't stay here unless you are completely penny less. This hotel is a complete disguise. The toilet attached with the room is terrible, rooms were dirty, Internet was not working from the room, the room service we asked for food came after one hour and the air-cooler was not working. The front view has nothing to do with the main hotel, as they will take you to a building behind.

Only look nice with pictures in the internet.
Hotel room is full with bugs and other living creatures. I had several bights in my face and legs. Bathroom is with filthy smell and dirt all over. No shawor curtian. Water do not drain from little squer tub. Middle of my bath I was in a pool of dirty water. I received my londery after three days after many requests. Check out day they provide me a bill including my direct payments to Expedia. After long search they move dplicate charges. Then I gave money to pay rest. They hold the balance without paying back until I made many request.
Expedia is liable to pay my money back.
