"This was the first stop on our Scotland trip and we were blown away! Amazing staff, beautiful clean rooms, amazing food and drink. I think what we liked best was the family feeling. Guests leaned in and talked to each other both on the patio and in the lounge. We felt more like house guest than hotel guests. Having dogs around seemed to be a nice ice breaker. We have recommended this gem of a place to everyone we meet. Go, stay, you will probably want to return!"

"We stayed at the Kames while exploring the area which is so beautiful. The hotel is ideally situated in an idyllic setting. The food was superb, especially the homemade steak pie! The Scottish Breakfast is the best we've tasted. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Room was spotless as were all facilities. We made good use of swimming pool which was amazing and part of the cost of our room. So glad we booked restaurant as the meal we had was first class. All the staff were very friendly, polite and professional."

"Our second stay at The House at Glenbarr, which is a little gem and well worth a visit and/or stay. Boutique style rooms and a residents lounge with kitchen to enable self catering. If booking The Hayloft, itโs a suite with its own kitchen. On site thereโs a general store, and lovely gift shop, cafe and garden centre. Staff all very helpful and itโs the hub of the wee community of Glenbarr, which is slightly inland hence no sea view."

"Wonderful B&B. Really friendly and the full cooked Scottish breakfast was done brilliantly (poached egg, plus not greasy sausages/haggis etc). Would recommend. Nice views from the breakfast dining area towards the island of Inchmamock."
