"We had a wonderful time at this beautiful historic hotel. The staff are the greatest asset, and provide genuine, heartfelt excellent service in everything they do. The team that looks after the rooms is also exceptional. Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. "Location was great. Room layout was good and amenities were good. Sadly the apartment was tired looking, about 80% clean. Chairs and carpet had permanent stains, time for an upgrade, repairs on toilet wall were very poor. Dust was collecting on top edge of tiles and furniture legs at the base. Pillows were both flat in the bedroom, could not get a comfortable position. Would only rate as 3 star."

"Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. "
