"I had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience with this hotel owner. We paid $2,700 for what was clearly sold to us as a 3-day tour, but after payment it was suddenly reduced to only 2 days with no proper explanation or refund. To make matters worse, we were left at the airport without any transportation arranged, despite this being part of what was discussed. Since then, the owner has ignored our messages and refused to respond or take responsibility. This felt unprofessional,...

"The last review of this property was over two years ago, and I’m not sure where the photos were taken from. Dark, damp and mouldy facilities. Bucket and mop in shower and no toilet paper. I had to leave within the first hour of arriving. There was no mention that this place is a public place for turtles, and there were strangers sitting at your front door. Just did not feel well with the odour in the room. I just hope the turtles have better accommodations."

"I am a solo female traveller. Zanzibar House is an excellent property in so many ways. The staff are friendly and helpful. The grounds are a delight to be in, with lots of comfortable places to sit and read or contemplate the beauty of the area. I did not use the pool and I am sure it would be lovely. At night time I had an evening meal which was tasty and they accommodated my dietary requirements very well. I am gluten intolerant. I recommend this hotel if you like quiet and beauty filled...

"Just to be clear: there is no pool. And the hotel is 5 minutes walking distance from the beach. But the service is 5 stars. And they clean every day, and change the bed and towels every 2 days"

"Fantastic place to stay. Staff are super friendly and helpful, place is clean, pools great and in a good location with access to the hotels beach area with lounges. Breakfast was also great, very fresh. Only thing was the bed in our room was extremely hard."
