"We stayed for five days and four nights, and were truly impressed by the hospitality of every staff member at the lodge. I traveled with my 7-year-old daughter, and many of the staff remembered her name, which made her feel so welcomed and happy. "What an incredible place! The staff treat you like family and nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food and service set in a beautifully curated hotel on the river bank. We were spoiled every day with Elephant, Hippos, bush buck, warthog and nyala eating and drinking directly in front of the hotel. Sipping a cocktail and watching these beautiful creatures was a daily highlight! "

"Generally incredible stay. Staff were very attentive. Not as luxury as hotels such as say lion sands which is twice the price though you get all the comfort you need given how busy the days are. If you plan on spending more time in the hotel / room maybe look for more luxury but the balance of comfort and access to the park was perfect for us as first time safari travelers Perfect mix of hotel comfort and access to safari with two daily drives with very knowledgable guides. "The photos dont do this property justice. secluded and quite with the sabie river running along side the villas and restaurants its just paradise. We stayed in the family Villa and it was breathtaking. The whole family went to the spa and had messages whilst listening to the river running by. it was the perfect way to end our trip to Kruger with some luxurious R&R."

"Casa do Sol was quiet compared to our previous stays here but this didn't stop the staff doing everything they could to make our stay agreeable. Of particular note was the high standard of the food which we thoroughly enjoyed. Go now and enjoy as the hotel will soon be busy again. A great place to stay before you go into Kruger."

"This was our 5th visit to Elephant Plains. It's the most affordable option in the Sabi Sands and an excellent place to stay. Since our 2022 visit, they have updated the rondovels. They're super comfortable with everything you need. Staff were great. They seem to have simplified the food options (an improvement) and the quality is great.
