"great location, right the beach, with very nice views. The hotel is funky (the rooms are old ship containers for example), but confortable, clean and extremely friendly. The restaurant within the hotel serves good Thai food at ridiculously low prices, and the tables are directly on the beach (your feet in the sand, under the trees). I stayed there quite a few times, and thought it was quite a good deal."

"Overall a very nice place, we had a front side bungalow that was located directly to the beach that probably was part of our positive experience. Friendly and positive staff. Not many restaurants around the hotel so you need to get a ride or hire a scooter to get around."

"A surprising small resort with huge rooms. I needed only a stopover before heading out of the ferry the next day. This was much more than I needed as a solo traveler but for the price you can’t beat it. Only a 10 or 15 minute drive from the Nathan Pier. "

"Stayed for a week in a pool villa. Very good location, staff were nice people and we really enjoyed it. Is in a quiter part of the island and that suits us perfectly. Would stay there again."

"Based on what I paid which was close to $150 a night I would have expected more modern room and a better breakfast buffet but otherwise the place was clean with friendly staff and located right on the beach. The step over from the tub shower to the floor is non-standard height (higher than normal) so be prepared if you have shorter legs or mobility issues. "

"Staff is extremely nice! Facility is beautiful and the food is great. We stayed in the villa, very large and quiet. Villas are very trendy and updated. Great views, highly recommend this property. Included breakfast is buffet along with a la cart menu items. "

"We had an amazing stay at the frangipani villa, which is one of the Zog villas. The staff was super helpful and was able to accommodate all our requests. The managers Ms M and Ms Chonny were prompt in their responses and they made special arrangements for my birthday celebration at the villa, including a private chef . "We had a 2 bed villa with lounge pool and beach view. Lots of space and complimentary water and coke. The staff were fantastic and service excellent. We had occasion to contact reception and had someone to our room immediately. It was a little way out but taxis are easily available and good value. The breakfast was lovely though coffee slow in delivery. The restaurant was fabulous- beautiful setting and atmosphere- but not cheap. We would go back to this hotel."

"Had a lovely time at Pavilion Samui Villas, staff were super attentive, hotel facilities really good and location close to the night market and plenty of restaurants nearby was great. Having direct access to the beach was also brilliant - it was very clean and plenty of sun loungers available. Our room was comfortable, good WiFi access and of course AirCon which is an essential. Areas of the hotel are perhaps a bit tired in places and could do with some TLC but I always think you have to allow a bit of flexibility on this and it certainly wasn't to the extent whereby it affected our enjoyment of our stay."
