Great hospitality, beautiful sunset view from the balcony room, comfortable beds. Lovely breakfast. Nice restaurants on the beach 5 minutes walk from the resort. Food at the restaurant in the resort was also very good although not many choices available. Highly recommended for an authentic Thai experience in a lovely family run resort immersed in nature, great for relaxing and chill out.

Secluded area meaning lovely quiet beach away from tourists, will need to hire bike/car to get around as it not walkable. We loved our stay, it is a very quiet family run hotel. The staff are lovely but sometimes hard to find anyone maybe a low season thing. We stayed in beachfront villa which was very big, bathroom/shower was outside which is cute but attached lots of mosquitoes. Coiled were lit daily but they do run out/don’t stop all.

This is a wonderful boutique hotel set on a gorgeous sandy beach. The gardens and pool are beautiful. It’s a very quiet relaxing place with very friendly, helpful staff. There are two kayaks and a paddleboard available free of charge. There is a hotel spa that offers massages on the beach and also a massage place on the beach next to the hotel. The hotel restaurant is very good. For more choice, the Intercontinental Hotel is next door and there are a couple of restaurants just a short walk along the beach.

Lovely boutique hotel with amazing sunsets

We have visited this hotel in the past but this was the first time we've stayed...and we will definitely be back! The hotel and setting is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and helpful and even though we had one or two issues with our room they acted promptly and efficiently to put things right. We were also lucky to experience the best sunset we've ever seen...on the beach with cocktails in hand...what's not to like!

We stayed at Sunset Beach in September 2019, the so-called "Rainy Season". Our stay was absolutely perfect. First and foremost, it is on the quiet side of the island and away from all noise. If you are considering this over Chewang Beach, do not hesitate. This is a lush getaway - the cities are crowded parties. We were greeted with coconuts and we practically had the place to ourselves due to the down season. The property is immaculate, the service is perfect, the beach is nice and the water is warm. They arranged for a schooner to pick us up and take us snorkeling, as well as a scooter rental so we could zip around. It was our own personal Corona commercial - I wouldn't change a thing. No bugs at all, rooms clean, in a word - paradise. This is definitely a hidden treasure on Koh Samui. Only one single complaint: the food is too expensive. There is a very good beachside cafe about a 5 minute walk down the beach that is literally half the price of the resort restaurant. They were also sensitive to us dining off the property because it was the slow season. But the fact of the matter is that the food options nearby are just too cheap to ignore, and the beach cafe is every bit as picturesque and secluded as the resort. This is the single complaint. Do not hesitate to book here. You will not regret it. It will be your own personal paradise. Oh yeah and the massage was the best we had in the country.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft im ruhigen Südwesten der Insel. Kleine Anlage,toll begrünt, sehr schöner Pool, alles tipptopp sauber und gepflegt. Hatten eine Garden-Villa - stilvolle Einrichtung, schöner kleiner Garten dabei, Badezimmer unter freiem Himmel, alles sehr privat. Sehr zuvorgekommenes Personal, tolles Frühstück, das aber bei einem mehrwöchigen Aufenthalt an Vielfalt vermissen läßt. Strand in Ordnung, sauber, aber nur bedingt zum Schwimmen geeignet wegen Gezeiten. Ausreichend Liegen vorhanden. In Gehweite befinden sich einige Strandrestaurants, wir empfehlen sehr „The Island View“! Alles in allem eine stilvolle Unterkunft für Ruhesuchende und Gäste, die das ursprüngliche Koh Samui schätzen. Außer dem Intercontinental Hotel nebenan und besagten Restaurants gibt es in der Nähe nur ein Fischerdorf. Keine Bars, keine Shops. Ein sehr empfehlenswertes Hotel, wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt.

Nous recherchions un séjour calme loin des plages bondées. Nous avons été satisfaits. L’inconvénient, c’est aussi qu’on est loin de tout ! L’hôtel est superbement designé, luxueux, confortable, avec un personnel attentif. Nous avions choisi un bungalow près de la piscine. Un must. Un seul bémol : le restaurant qui n’est pas à la hauteur, voire très moyen. Il y a heureusement un restaurant de plage à 200m. Pour le reste, un vrai paradis pour amoureux.

Sunset Beach Resort Taling Ngam

We used the Sunset Beach as a 'bed and breakfast' to enable us to attend a wedding at another hotel nearby. As such we did not make full use of the facilities. The location is excellent, right on a beautiful sandy beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was well prepared and fine for us though perhaps a little small for a beach resort. Would be happy to stay there again.

A small (20 something entities) and quiet resort directly on the beach. Newly renovated. Exceptional service. Awesome spa with free sauna. Fitness studio with amazing view (some machines were out of order). Great food (more thai dishes would be good though) and breakfast. Prices are fully ok. All in all - highly recommendable!

It’s absolutely stunning! Staff was super friendly and helpful; rooms had beautiful views and awesome amenities. The pool is a beautiful green color and the art is superb. We will definitely be coming back!! It’s paradise! The beach is quiet and the steam room/sauna/plunge pool are the best free amenity offered. Do it! *The only downfall is transportation. It’s quite fat front everything on the island. They do offer motorbikes or to rent a car, but if it’s raining or if you are not comfortable driving on the opposite side of the road, these are not a doable options for you.

There are some very nice things but the overall experience for this hotel was disappointing. The A/C during the day doesn't work well. It reaches 30 degrees by 10 am in the garden villa room so it's not comfortable. The staff did try their best to accommodate. However i know they are aware of the issue as there are a few reviews that have stated the same problem.

Too short break

Booked so I could see a Samui sunset and got a whole lot more. What a stunning resort in a stunning location. The sunset wasn't too bad either. From first arrival to check out, everything was superb. The staff were attentive and professional with the friendly Thai style. Dinner, drinks and breakfast were all great. The 12 noon check out topped it all off. Great pool too.
