As a diamond member I am loyal to the Hilton brand even with Gold Marriott status. I checked in & within 2hrs I notified the front desk about fleas. They said it was too late & they would address it the next day. I never heard back so I called & they said housekeeping steamed the couch & maintenance sprayed around. That night I was bitten on my ankles. I notified the front desk & was told it was probably no see-ums. I’m a native Floridian & know the difference. I have flea bites. Never once did they apologize. Never once did they offer to move me. I’m so disappointed in this property. The concierge was rude & unhelpful. She told me the trolleys had stopped for the day & if I wouldn’t have still gone outside to wait at 4:45 I would have missed it. The driver said there were 2 more behind him. If she’s the concierge she should know the trolley schedule since the hotel is one of the stops. I’m heading to Marco Island & I will probably stay at the JW instead of the Hilton resort. It’s unacceptable to have your guests bitten by fleas they advised you of.
