"Our room smelled bad. Moved us to another room which was dilapidated and dirty. We were tired and decided to stay sleep and get out early. Unfortunately, not a pleasant stay. Front desk was helpful in immediately moving us to a new room but other than that this hotel needs some work."

Old southern charm, but with emphasis on the old— our room was as clean as housekeeping could possibly make it, but the carpet had large stains, shower door can’t stay shut, paint on bathroom ceiling and parts of walls cracked and peeling. Tile missing on bathroom floor. Brilliant location right in historic district because hotel is pretty much the historic anchor (former exclusive millionaires club built at end of 19th century). "Pool was rough. Need more comfortable chairs at pool side. Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean and good."

"Smelled like mold , black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, shower floor slimy, no soap in the shower, mold/grime around the shower and wallpaper coming off the wall. I don't think the bed was changed either."
