"I've stayed in a number of B&Bs in the past. I like the homey atmosphere and delicious breakfasts they usually offer. I chose to stay at a B&B during my visit to Gettysburg expecting the same experience. I was greatly disappointed. Although I knew in advance that check in was self-service, I expected some type of welcome kit upon our arrival, making us feel at home. "The Federal Pointe Inn of Gettysburg has so much history! It was originally constructed to be a school so the ceilings are extra high. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was large, but could have used better lighting. The bedrooms also lacked hooks for ease of hanging outer wear as the closet was located in the far end of the room away from the door. "Innkeepers Heidi and Dan were very welcoming and friendly. Dan met us as we arrived and walked us into the inn. Heidi got us checked in and gave us a tour of the manor and showed us our room. We stayed in the Emily Rose which was a perfect size for just two of us for one night. The room was very clean and comfortable. The entire inn was very clean and beautifully decorated. "Very unique setup. Modern amenities. Bed was comfortable. No overnight housekeeping, so no coffee the next morning. Also, the corners lacked cleanliness. We had a huge cobweb and carpet corners were dusty. "
