"This boutique hotel was outstanding. The rooms are large, the king size bed was comfortable, the bathroom was also large and very clean. The breakfasts are outstanding, second to none. Great service from the staff as well. I highly recommend Perryview House."

The room was OK, but old sash windows were broken and needed to be propped open with pieces of 4x2 wood offcuts. Parking is on a meter outside. I was expecting more. Breakfast was good in the small downstairs cafe which is part of the hotel. This hotel seems to be linked to another hotel on the seafront. "I thought this property would be gorgeous from the photos and reviews online. It was extremely disappointing and our room was very very old, dirty, and dated. Everything in our room was “yellowish”, dusty, and the carpet stained and musty smelling. This spot could be beautiful but they need to upgrade. It looks like some rooms have been updated, but some like ours were stuck in the 80’s. Just a truly disappointing stay. Only positive it is in town."

"It’s not a hotel, it’s student housing. The staff was very friendly, but gives dorm room vibes. Wasn’t a terrible stay, but would choose differently if we came to cork again. No parking so plan on spending around 40 euro a day on the nearest car park."

"I would recommend this hotel. The only downside of this place is no onsite or near by parking. You need to park in parkades that are about a 10-min walk from the hotel. With any booking you make in the Ireland, always book the breakfast of you intend to eat breakfast. It will save you a ton if you prebook and pay for it."

They did put a small fan in the room and gave us an additional one but the room would not cool down even with the window open. There were many others in the hotel complaining about the heat but there was really nothing the staff could do to help out as there was no real circulation of air in our room since the open window faced out into a confined court yard. We booked 3 nights but ended up moving...

"Mixed experience. Staff were great and overall property was fine. Location good. However water and coffee/milk/sugar in our room on arrival wasn’t replenished during our 3 night stay. Rooms are on the small side. The biggest issue we had is that we couldn’t get back into the room on our last night as somehow the security latch managed to activate itself, which should be impossible. Staff were great dealing with the issue but had to use hammer and chisel to obtain access, took about 30 mins....

"Wonderful newer hotel close to the cool MacCurtain Street area. Walking distance to pretty much everything. The room cleaning was hit or miss - not bad just not what we expected. Staff was excellent!"

"Great place for young couples on city break or mingling professionals. Wouldn’t recommend to older couples or to families. Lounge is a good vibe though table service could be more attentive. Beds are a bit soft for my liking personally. Showers are amazing!"
