"After 4 rooms, I was able to find somewhat of an appropriate accommodation. The first room had outlets hanging out of the wall, an extension cord going across the floor. No outlets worked. The floor was disgusting and the bedding was discolored and torn. They sent me to a 2nd room to look at and the whirlpool would not shut off. Switches were missing cover plates or no switch was present. The room was dirty and the floor looked like there was urine around the bathroom stool. Room 3 had wall lights falling out and hanging by the wire and was very dirty. Room 4 was at least clean but had several items damaged including the hair dryer hanging off the wall, the support bar into the shower was ripped away from the wall, the fan vent cover was hanging off the ceiling, the threshold was busted up and the outlet sparked anytime you tried to plug in something. I had two other individuals that were renting a room for the weekend and both had to be transferred to another room as well. Neither of them stayed the second night as the AC did not work among other safety issues. I highly suggest to stay away from this place. The pictures and reviews on line are not real! Had I been able to cancel, I would have but the owner said I could not because I booked through Expedia. Horrible service and disgusting rooms that are health hazards."

"All the staff live in this hotel. The rooms had no remote for the tv,the ice machine didn't work. Rooms need updating. The staff was nice despite the hotel"

"The biggest problem was the A/C did not cool as much as it should have. However, they were replacing them durning our stay just hadn’t gotten to our room yet. Staff was very nice and property and rooms were clear."

"Not one time did someone clean our room in a 4 night stay! We had 2 bath towels to start with, nothing more. Bathroom had black mold growing all over it. The metal frame on one bed was broken and made a terrible, loud noise when sitting or getting into the bed. Sketchy people walking around the parking lot a times of the day and night. No breakfast as advertised. The walls were so thin you can hear everything going on around you. People outside yelling and talking, and could hear every single word. Stay clear! Good price, but we got what we paid for!"

"My husband and I were very happy during our stay at The Island Cottage Inn. The rooms are very clean and charming. Kathy and Tim are exceptional hosts who are like old friends by the time you check out. They provide a variety of breakfast options that start your day off right. Their beachfront across the street is the perfect place to take a long walk or relax on the chairs that are provided. If my husband and I are anywhere near Flagler Beach again, we will absolutely stay here."
