"It’s basic but it’s clean, bed was good, shower had good pressure and hot water, and my room was quiet. Some blackouts curtains would have been nice but other than that, for the rate, I couldn’t fault it. I am actually booking it again right now."

"Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. "

Old fashioned( not as in a designed way). No usb ports. Bathroom needed a complete overhaul or at least a deep clean- there is no excuse for mould on grout or silicone nowadays- gave the whole place a grubby feel. "Stayed 2 nights visiting family. Ate breakfast and evening meals each day of our stay. Beds so comfortable, air con worked well, quiet room. Restaurant was excellent, food very reasonably priced, served up quickly by very very friendly staff. The Manager and Bar Manager were fantastic a credit to Marston’s. All the waiters and waitresses were amazing. Will definitely return."

"pub is now closed but rooms still availble, you would need to go to another pub which is a 2 mins drive or 20 min walk for dinner. Lovely owner, very friendly."
