"We have stayed at the San Carlos before and were thrilled it was available for this trip to NYC. The staff are always so friendly, the rooms large for city standards and the location can’t be beat for all NYC activities. The beds are so comfortable and the bedding really nice. Somehow we have always gotten upgraded to a room with a kitchenette and good coffee and coffee maker provided. We will always try to stay here on future travels to NYC. "

"The only complaint is that the mattress on the bed still had the plastic on and it was near impossible to sleep. You can hear and feel the plastic on the bed. Very uncomfortable."

"The rooms were on the small side, but clean & modern. 27th floor outdoor patio, just inside free different types of coffee. W We were in a room with a kitchen and it was well equipped, with free bottled water just down the hall. Will stay there again on next trip to NYC (we were staying near Grand Central Station with a total of 4 rooms."
