Hotels near Kazimar Big Mosque and Maqbara

"Great hotel for westerners near the temples"

"It is near to bus stand, railway station, Meenakshi temple, shopping area. "

"Ok for a night stay"

"Amazing Staying"

"The environment is nice."

"Outstanding Value - in terms of its proximity to the temple and the quality of the room."

"Ideal location set close to train station and temple. Staff helpful, one spoke good English. Hotel is in dire need of re-furbishment. Comfy mattress, decent aircon, WiFi adequate. Decor not great, old fashioned. Toilet and shower desperately needs refurb. Was clean but old stains remain that can’t be removed from cleaning."

"The hotel staff took extra effort to arrange breakfast for us for next day as were leaving early. They packed our breakfast nicely and kept it ready by the time we came to the lobby. They also helped with roll out beds for one of the rooms."

"Nice place"

"Good rooms with affordable charges"

"The hotel's amenities and property are in poor condition, and the staff is extremely unclean. White towels became grey, there was no trash can, the toilet was filthy, there was no traveler's plug, no ironing services, and most of the lights were not on. Front desk employees are prohibited from cancelling reservations since they repeatedly assert that doing so will result in a pay loss. Don't suggest this hotel in general."

"Clean room, very helpful staff, and an excellent breakfast. We had a great stay."

"Helpful staff, location is close to some modern and traditional dining restaurants"

"There was lots of noise coming from the street. Hotel staff not very sympathetic."

"Grotty place in poor condition, but walking distance to the temple and station. Door knob replaced by bolts. Paintwork very shoddy and unfinished. Although not expensive, hotels and boarding houses in the neighbourhood were offering rooms at a fraction of the price. I would never return. A small salute, however, to the nice young receptionist who arrived in the morning."

"Gateway Madurai was like a paradise found in the busy streets of Madurai. The hilltop location provides a view of the entire city and the drive into the hotel is full of lush greenery and wildlife. The rooms are beautiful and the restaurant offers excellent options. The staff made our stay perfection from the start. Highly recommend"

"Perfect for night life, including shopping and dining. Near famous temple. Wonderful friendly staff."
