"Our stay at Shibu Hotel was a memorable highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and provided us with boots and umbrellas after we told them we wanted to venture out into the rain to view the monkey park. Our dining experiences were equally as pleasant with the staff greeting us and explaining the menus to us in detail. The area around the hotel was quiet and peaceful as well. On top of that all, the private bath offered was the last relaxing piece of the puzzle we needed. Thank you to all the staff members present!"

"We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. The property manager and staff were very nice and accommodative. They gave us free use of the SUPs and kayaks which was lots of fun. The rooms were nice and freshly renovated. Highly recommended for either a summer stay to enjoy the lake activities or a winter stay to hit the nearby slopes. Thanks!"

"This hotel is a beautiful ryokan and onsen. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We ate breakfast and dinner at the ryokan and really enjoyed the food - meals are 7 courses and food quality is top notch. We would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Yudanaka. They have a private onsen which we also booked so my husband and I could use the onsen together. "
