"Speedy check-inThe welcome drinks (wine) & a pack of soft cookie (delicious) did give me a surprise but our hotel room booking was without a complimentary breakfast so we decided to give it a try at their F&B outlet after check-in. Food served was amazing. Generous portion with reasonable prices & great service rendered by the crew.
Room was up to their standard with good bedding. Sufficient furnishings & amenities. Great city view (modern high rise buildings & street vibe) right from the room’s window. Vibrant but slight noise from the street can be heard which did not disturb our sleep after daily excursions & sightseeing.
But, we got confused about the glass door opening at the hotel main entrance. Reasons being, doormen sometimes greeted us & opened the door for us but sometimes no, even when there were no other guests at certain hour. Also, we received some aggressive, scrutinising stares from a particular concierge/doorman/security guard which made us very uncomfortable. We had doubts if we have chosen the wrong hotel for our very first Chile trip at Santiago.
When we checked out at early morning, rushing for our flight back to Buenos Aires, there was only 1 staff at the front desk & he worked hard to settle with 1 guest before us. That was kind of time consuming & our appointed pick-up (cabity) has to wait more than 10 mins at hotel’s front porch. If the hotel would add on extra headcount, I bet the ambience would not have got tense in the morning."
