"Upon finding Hotel Metropolis we realised that it was a well-situated hotel for all the restaurants/cafes/bars/museums in the newer part of Kaunas as well as the Science Island and the Akropolis Shopping Centre. It was approximately a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the Old Town where Kaunas Castle is situated. The Metropolis Hotel is a lovely renovated old hotel with lots of character.
