"All these years Centara gave me an impression of a wonderful holiday in Thailand, until today. I was staying at Patong and due to move over to Centara Kata for the 2nd part of my holiday. However, heavy rainfall and serious flooding inundated various part of Phuket and Kata is one of the worst hit area. Just one persistent rain away from another episode of flooding waiting to happen anytime. I was driving and I cannot afford to let my car got flooded. I called in to request for refund and was bluntly turned down, reason being, as of this moment there’s no flooding and there’s no justification for refund. Come on, everyone knows it there, 30minutes of heavy rain and there you go. The damage if my car got flooded far far outweigh the risk that I’m going to take to venture into Kata at this period of time. To me, Centara really damage their own branding by refusing such request. Disappointment is an understatement. Hope this helps other in choosing their hotel with Centara in the future."
