"The property is a period house and the owner Chris has kept it to that style, very clean with a excellent breakfast cooked to perfection by Chris with a wide and varied choice of food. Whitwell is a designated dark sky area with some very pretty houses lots of thatched roofs,the local pub is only a few minutes walk and well worth a visit,the food is excellent. I would definitely recommend a stay at Kingsmede ,it fulfilled all my wife and I hopes"

"On the whole defo 5*! Great location and views. Very friendly staff. Has Indoor swimming pool and we had Breakfast included. Has a bar / lounge area and a welcome feel. "We had a room with balcony and sea view which was excellent. Breakfast was very good, cooked items could sometimes have been a little better ( compared with previous visit in 2024), and the same goes for the dinner on a few occasions. But overall the standard is high. Staff all friendly, professional and helpful. A lift would be helpful"
