"We like the location, which was reasonably central for us. I want to say the staff was absolutely amazing. Their hospitality was next to none.
There was ample parking. The property is dated Ave requires renovations, however it was OK.
I would stay here again. "

"I have been visiting Four Seasons Langkawi for the past five years and have stayed more than 10 times. It remains one of my favourite resorts, which is why I wanted to share some honest feedback.
First, I would like to thank the team for their excellent hospitality. The staff were as warm, attentive and professional as ever, and the anniversary cake was a thoughtful touch that was greatly appreciated.
This visit, however, was not quite as memorable as my previous stays. The room showed some signs of wear that I had not noticed before, and breakfast did not feel as strong as I remembered. While there was still a good selection available, I was surprised that roti canai was not offered daily. It may seem like a small detail, but it is something I have always associated with Malaysian hospitality and with this resort in particular.
I was also surprised by the RM700 per night deposit requirement. For guests staying longer periods, the amount can become quite substantial.
One additional area that may benefit from some attention is pest control. Given the resort's beautiful natural surroundings, I understand that this can be challenging, but I noticed it more during this visit than on previous stays.
That said, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and look forward to returning in the future. I hope these comments are received as feedback from a loyal guest who has always held this resort in very high regard."
"The view and the private beach are exceptional. Room and facilities are a little dated but well maintained. My kid had jellyfish sting when swimming in the sea and the staff were very helpful and reassuring. Only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because our room had drain flies in the washroom."
"Excellent. Absolutely lives up to its 5 star reputation.
Service interactions were all welcoming, pleasant and accommodating to our needs.
Our room was perfection. Balcony was pleasant, there is plenty of comfortable seating choices in the room. The bathroom is a highlight. Housekeeping service was impeccable, right down to a lovely bubble bath, strewn with rose petals, they prepared on two occasions. Diptyque products.
Food at all the venues, particularly the breakfast buffet, was excellent.
Spa services were very good and the spa setting is stunning.
Grounds and landscaping are well maintained. There are some lovely garden walks to enjoy. The onsite gym is nice and was reasonably busy on the days that I used it. Beach is well groomed. We were unable to enter the water the few days that we were there due to warning flags.
Pools were nice enough. The adult pool was closed for maintenance during our visit, an alternative pool was offered at one of the beachfront villas, but we did not use it. The family pool was busy with children, as expected. There was not much shade cover to be had at the adult pool and it would have been extremely hot baking the sun (hopefully they are addressing that with the renovations)
Of note, the resort is on a very hilly slope. Our 3 story building didn’t have an elevator. There are plenty of golf carts available to take you where you need to go. If accessibility is an issue for you this could be a hindrance.
Outstanding property."
"The resort is an older property that would benefit from a little updating.
Having said that , it did not detract from an excellent stay, exceptionally helpful staff, an amazing breakfast buffet and a location that was perfect.
Sunset from our balcony was a special moment.
We only eat in the resort one evening and were pleased with the variety of options. However, as with all resorts, food is more expensive that local restaurants.
We used the pool by the glass bar so as to avoid the children in the main pool.
All in all recommended."
"The staff were absolutely wonderful, the breakfast is really good with plenty of options. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but we got a drink voucher which was lovely while we waited."
"We stayed at both the Tanjung Rhu resort in the north and the Riyaz Lavanya. We are a family of 3. This hotel had a very spacious 2 bedroom unit with washer. It was located near restaurants and the beach. Only downside was the lack of a view from our room and this is a busier side of town. The hotel staff were wonderful and the rooms were newer and very clean. The only reason we wouldn’t stay here again is because we enjoyed the north side of Langkawi more than the south side. The hotel itself was wonderful."
"The resort was beautiful, beach and pools were good and plenty of comfortable sun-loungers and fresh towels. Breakfast was good with a vast array of cuisines to please the many cultures staying at the hotel. Location was perfect for a beach still into town. Rooms were spacious and well appointed. We had a sea view room with balcony. However, the downside was that you could hear what was going on in the rooms above and to the sides of ours. General noise (children crying, prayer time, moving around) we could cope with but we had two nights of being kept awake by inconsiderate neighbours above us who were banging doors and cupboards and arguing, so much so we rang reception at midnight to complain. Nothing was done unfortunately until we raised it with the duty manager again the following day and we moved rooms. It did taint our experience as we were hoping for a relaxing stay and it was the most expensive hotel of our trip. The staff were helpful however and as the buildings are wooden, you are going to get some noise but this was beyond acceptable. So I would say you are at the mercy of your neighbours to a certain extent."
"Room was clean and in good condition. Good room design, such as the night light in the toilet. Nice water features, pool beds, and infinity pool. Pools are open 8am till 8pm only. Breakfast had a decent spread: I liked that there was sourdough bread and yoghurt, as well as rotating local dishes such as kueh and beef tendon. There was a RM200/pax BBQ on the beach on Fri & Sat night. Approx 15 min walk to the middle of Cenang beach. Consider renting a car to enjoy Langkawi’s nice scenery and relaxed traffic (a Perodua Myvi worked well for this pair of Asian folks)."
