"The first room that I paid for through Expedia and checked in was super hot they did not turn on the AC before we arrived so it was like 90°. We had three twin beds and one small AC. It was not acceptable so we asked if we can be moved. They moved us into a cottage which ended up costing 90 extra dollars for the night, but it had three small ACs And definitely was worth the upgrade for a better night sleep it was extremely hot and humid we was not able to get any of the amenities. I think all they offered was coffee anyways so it was about $300 for a night. It was OK. It looked like it was pretty close to several little restaurants but we did not go to them. We had other things on our agenda that we were doing. Next time I would pay a little extra and possibly have a pool and some other amenities for about the same price or a little bit more."

"Castle Kaha Lani was the perfect place for us. We had ages ranging from 14 to 85 years old. I was worried about the steps up to the 2nd floor but my 85 year old mother did great using her cane. I saw in the reviews before we stayed that some of the units needed updating, so we kind of expected ours might be one of those. And it was, but it was still super great, comfy beds, ocean view from living room and balcony, trade winds kept the unit cool, though the fans in the bedrooms came in very handy. Castle Lani was amazing for us!! Would definitely recommend!"

"Unbeknownst to me my room was aligned with the valet parking spaces and main entrance to the hotel. Through out the night until they filled those spots all I heard was the car alarms for opening and closing and sitting the alarm’s for these vehicles. Then it started back up as early as 6 am beeping alarms to opening of these cars doors. I don’t believe that this was a first time that the hotel has been made aware of this and it’s not an ideal room to have your balcony literally on the main entrance and there valet parking right outside your door. The room was clean and comfortable it just wasn’t a vacation type atmosphere because it was irritating to have to put up with such a unnecessary noise."

"DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! The room itself is old, dirty, not well kept, not looked after, and people are NOT CLEANING!!! There was a dirty sock in the drawers, a lizard running around, and MULTIPLE cockroaches. There were stains on the pull out bed, along with trash and crumbs underneath it— clearly nobody is cleaning the rooms thoroughly. When we called the front desk, they were completely dismissive and acted like it was “unusual.” I wish we had taken pictures, but let this review be your sign not to stay here— I promise you can find something MUCH nicer for the same price."
