This place is abismal. Walls full of mould. Flimsy room door with gaps so all noise from hall whether late at night or 5a comes through. Converted office floor into room. Can’t be called even a hostel, let alone a hotel. The owner/receptionist/cleaner abusive and rude. The sheets blanket and pillow had makeup, hair and other stains. For your health and sanity, keep away
Very comfortable, staff friendly, small hotel (one floor - 10 -15 room - not sure exactly) located 5 min walk from Yaffa gate of Old City. Very convenient for self-exploring Old City, convenient public transportation from Jerusalem Central bus and train station. Clean and convenient. Area around hotel feel safe. But in a last day of our stay (4-24-2023) terror attacks happened 300 m ahead of us when we walk on the street to Mahaneh Yeguda Market.
Fantastic location
However, i would NOT consider this place a hotel, probably not even a motel, more like a single room in a dirty hostel.
My bathroom was dirty, as soon as i turned on the A/C stuff came out and landed on my bed, the owner (or evening guy, not sure if he is the owner) instead of apologies offered some yelling and said its just dust and maybe he should replace the filter, i don't know what it is but it was large and thete were a lot of whatever it was that landed on the bed. i asked to replace the sheets and clean the faucet, which aside from being filty was broken and had scolding hot water only.
He didn't want to change the sheets, told me to go elsewhere, i asked for my money, he said i paid expedia not him, so i should ask expidia, he kept yelling, and so i said look i asked you politely for clean sheets, its something i deserve to have when paying for a room, he complained i didn't pay that much, i said thats the rate you charge and regardless of rate i deserve clean sheets.
He changed the sheets grudgngly and cleaned the Faucet.
Awesome location, never again!
Bed sheets had stains and other persons hair in it. Bed side lights and fridge did not work. Staff lied to me when they advised issues were addressed next day (same sheets and lights/fridge still did not work), unable to offer a different room. Expected me to remake my own bed with clean sheets. Asked to meet manager who said they were out of town. Staff refused to refund three of four nights I did not stay. No follow up to my text messages.
The room that was reserved and that appears in the photo of the reservation confirmation is larger than the one they gave us I made the claim and said that this was not the room we reserved
Excellent place for Jerusalem visits! The rooms are just enough and it’s equipped with everything you might need. It’s a bit difficult to find as there is no sign outside but we got some help from the nearby store. I would recommend it because of the location as well!!

Heater was not working and they tried to fix 2 days in a row . No heating so they brought a spacer heater . Did the job but noisy
No service of room on Saturday
Plus - convenient location, close to public transport and the Old City. Bed comfortable and room clean and fully functioning.
Negatives - staff welcoming on arrival but then largely absent. My room had a couple of things wrong with it (see below) and after the first night I asked whether it might be possible to move to another. The man at reception said that he'd have to ask his manager later - but that evening, and generally in the evenings, there was no one on reception or seemingly anywhere in the hotel to follow this up with. So I stayed in the not very satisfactory room for all 4 nights.
The problems with the room were
* walls very thin and door not sound-proof so I could hear everything that was going on in the corridor
* the shower had nowhere to place shower-gel and the like other than on the floor
* there was a mini-bar in the room which had a glass door and a light on all the time - I had to use the surplus cushions from the bed to block the light at night
* there was no chair in the room - the only place to sit was the bed
In addition the condition of the lobby of the building (which, despite the evidence of the bell at the entrance, was I think exclusively for the hotel) was poor. The street door did not latch properly - and this, combined with the lack of staff at reception, meant that people from the street could get access to the room doors without effort or challenge.
