"Campton Kiyomizu is a traditional Japanese hotel conveniently located in the old town center of Kyoto. There was a near-by grocery store open 24 hours, which we frequented, and taxis were always available. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable, and all areas were very clean. It even had a washing machine. They gave us comfortable pajamas which we ended up purchasing. Our host, Masao, provided outstanding service, accommodating our every need, including coordinating the luggage...

"This property is alright, if you are on a short stay. If you are staying for 3 or more days, I do not suggest as this is an unmanned property. I only got to know after booking was confirmed! There was no indication when I was booking! This is not friendly at all. Additionally, there were many small flies from my 2nd day onwards. I tried messaging property but response was slow. Had to get my local contact call them before they reacted. On top of that, when housekeeping was sent, a sloppy job...

"From arrival to departure, the hotel exceeded expectations. The location was great and the staff helpful. The room was small, but very well designed to have plenty of places to put things. The capsule coffee machine, the charger cords and the pajamas were a real bonus! If we are in Tokyo, we will definitely be staying again!"

"This hotel was great! The breakfast in the morning was so delicious and had many options. It’s not too far from the train station and bus stop so getting to it is easy. It’s close enough to the Shinjuku downtown center (10 minute walk) but also quiet as it is across the street from a beautiful park. The staff is very nice and the rooms are a good size."

"Anytime I stay in Tokyo this is usually where I go. The staff are great, having a Lawsons in the hotel is amazing. It is centrally located around great areas of Tokyo, whether it be the nightlife, or going to Akihabara. With the station being right next to the hotel you can get anywhere quickly."

"Great location if you want to be close to Shinjuku, but not deal with the noise and the people. The hotel is hooked on the underground walkway to Shinjuku station, which is about a 10 to 15 minute walk. There are multiple restaurants in the building and two convenient stores and if that’s not enough right around the corner is a 7-11 the rooms are standard size for Japan. We were on the 23rd floor during an earthquake and the building stayed intact. No complaints."

"Le personnel est d’une grande gentillesse et patience. Un hôtel très propre, beau, avec une magnifique vue sur la skytree tower. Chambre confortable, un espace convenable pour 2 adultes et un enfant. Le restaurant/bar au dernier étage est très chic avec une vue superbe. Le petit déjeuner était complet et très bien. Je recommande fortement cet hôtel."
