I stayed in the Best Western, Mercure, Asmat and a few others on this trip in almost identically priced rooms . The Asmat is the best, the Best Western by far the worst and this Swiss, though not on the same level as BW, is still poor. I saw only a few guests in 7 days. The staff service was good, though the room was very poor. No working Wifi in my "upgraded room" (definite downgrade), due to its end of hall location. The room hadn't been cleaned fully when I arrived. They forgot water and there was female hair everywhere. Both chairs were stained and dirty and the tissue box taped. The TV remained on standby the entire duration of my stay so it illuminated the room at night. The noise (though not bothersome for me) was very loud and would bother some people. The AC vent was broken too and was propped up with packaging and consequently only directed air to the floor. The bathroom tap emmited kettle water which is seriously dangerous (it melted my plastic shampoo bottles into a clump as a fire would). Whomever manages this place has odd priorities...they seem to organise events constantly that nobody attends. On November 6th they were having a Halloween "party" (Halloween is October 31st). Why not spend your budget on providing guests with functionnng amenities and clean rooms instead of having them set-up projectors for a childrens theme night that not a single person attended or painting bats and dracula murals. The entire place is empty because the room standards are poor.
