"We have stayed here before and wanted to come back. We booked a classic King and got the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to the Executive suite and got it. When we arrived, there were no Executive suites ready and they put us in a Signature suite instead at no extra cost. The staff here are so friendly and go above and beyond and made our stay so enjoyable. Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary."

"Very spacious room. Bed could have been a little more comfortable but was adequate. Close to many walkable sites. The room access cards kept failing once or twice a day which was annoying but all the staff were helpful and friendly. Laundry was a pain as it was very expensive and had to be provided to them by 8am if you wanted it back the same day. We took an Uber to a coin laundry and it took an hour and was cheaper including the cost of the Uber there and back"

"Nice room with tea/coffee making facilities plus hairdryer,iron & board. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially at breakfast time. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice and freshly made cooked breakfast to order. A very nice hotel and well worth a stay"

"Close to train station. No coffee in room. They charged me a “special rate” of £17 for breakfast on check in, saying it would cost more the next morning. Cost of full English is actually £13 on the menu. Restaurant is okay for drinks. Food appears to be from take out off site."

"This a brilliant hotel and could not fault it. The deluxe rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was really good and the items were hot and the area was immaculate with staff clearing away all the time. The location was perfect, very central and I would have no hesitation in staying again at this wonderful hotel. It is definitely a 4 star standard so well done to Maldron hotels"

"Hotel was modern, clean with excellent facilities. Just a couple of pointers. The two rooms our family occupied had not main lights and one had a lamp and the other didn't. Other internal phone didn't work for room service so used hotel's internal WhatsApp to order. Breakfast was excellent and catered for all diets (including vegan and vegetarian)."

"This is a lovely little hotel in a perfect spot to visit Newcastle. The staff were all lovely and were keen to make my stay as good as possible. My room was on the 2nd floor and there is no lift (which I knew but still overpacked!) so perhaps don't take one big suitcase like I did! The hotel is well maintained but is not "modern". It has everything you could want except if you stay at the height of a heatwave, there is no AC (i was given a fan which suited me but just a note). The bedroom doors...
