"Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. "This was our second stay at Fowlescombe Farm and it only reinforced our view that it is one of the most special places to stay in the UK. This time we stayed in the Pond Suite, which was every bit as beautifully designed and comfortable as our previous accommodation, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. "The property was easily found by using a Sat Nav. The property inside and outside was very clean. There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. The entrance was a wooden decking which had a range of colorful potted plants and well maintained. The owner was very helpful with directions and places to visit and eat...

""Great for a female solo traveller I took myself off to Devon for a well needed solo break." The Loft was cosy and clean. I felt very safe there, the location is brilliant for other beauty spots like Salcombe and Totnes. Lukesland Gardens is worth a visit too. The loft itself has lovely skylights that you can see so many stars from on a clear night. Good facilities and the wifi didn't fail me either as I needed to work from my laptop during the time I stayed. You have to visit The Ring Feeder...

"Staff efficient but robotic and lacked empathy. Bedroom tired and the lighting was inadequate when applying make-up. Dim lights might be romantic but a dressing table with a proper lamp so you can see what you look like is essential! Hot water in bathroom basin very slow in coming through and the toilet seat is misaligned "

"Lovely Hotel in a great location. The views are stunning, the hotel is located directly on the beach. Our signature room was amazing, very clean, large bathroom, water bottles replaced every day and every amenity necessary. Restaurant was fabulous, with a great , varied menu. Very friendly staff, and a well kept, clean beach. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
