It’s a budget hostel, good value for the money in the city historic center. You can walk alone at night u til about 830-9pm. Uber is plentiful. Decent traditional restaurants around within walking distance. Hostel is quiet except for the construction - so be mindful if you take naps or sleep in behind 8am. There is no refrigerator to store food and the staff wasn’t helpful about it. Bathrooms are small but completely updated. Hot water is warmer but not super hot. Pressure is good. No elevator. Narrow stairs. Extra blankets available if you need it."

"This hotel is truly a gem. From the decor to the location to the wonderful staff, we had a wonderful stay. It has a great rooftop bar with amazing views and the dinner we had their restaurant was one of the best meals we had on our 17 days in Ecuador. The breakfast was top notch too. The hotel is gorgeous and you are right in the historic center with so much beautiful architecture right at your door step. The staff went above and beyond with helping us get settled and provided us with a lovely welcome drink and appetizer. They also gave us a small bottle of wine and chocolates. I can't recommend this hotel enough!"
