We loved staying at the Leslie Castle. John & Nicole were great. We came by train and then planned to go by Uber to the Castle and found the one driver was on holiday. John & Nicole were so gracious to come and pick us up. Food was great. Nicole does a history of the castle after dinner each night which was so enjoyable and a tour of the castle. Our room was huge and we loved every minute of it. We walked to the little Hamlet of Leslie and met some of the locals. The weather was great and we just enjoyed ourselves so much. I know that you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a "Castle Experience"!

Our visit to Leslie Castle was the highlight of our trip to Scotland. Beautifully restored inside and out with a fascinating history and an intriguing story of how this castle was brought back to life from ruins. John and Nicola are wonderful hosts and they make every effort to ensure a 5 star experience for their guests …. from gourmet meals to locally sourced amenities and special touches like honey from the castle beehives. A visit to Leslie Castle is an absolute must for anyone traveling to Scotland. Fantastic experience!!

The Leslie Castle is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms are so quaint and comfortable. I feel very fortunate we were able to stay here. Highly recommended. Thank you to our hosts for making it a wonderful stay.

Leslie Castle has been on our bucket list since 2018. We are thrilled that we were finally able to get there. The Castle and grounds are in immaculate condition. Nicola and John have done a masterful job with keeping the feel of the place authentic to the history. The rooms were incredible. Modernized but still feeling appropriate to the heritage. The meals were likewise excellent. Dinner was a particular highlight after which Nicola expertly entertained us with the history of the Leslie Clan as well as the Leslie Castle. Thanks to Nicola and John for their hospitality. We hope to return soon.

Once in a lifetime stay!

Nicola and her husband were a delight to stay with at Leslie Castle (the name “Leslie” has special meaning to me). My mom and I definitely wanted to stay in a castle on our trip and this was a good use of our time and money. The tour and historical talk by Nicola were really helpful and interesting and the food was excellent. There’s not much around, so definitely opt for the dinner on-site. Please book directly with Leslie Castle if you can, also, and avoid these third parties.

This was not just a castle BnB, this was a real authentic experience back in time. We were warmly welcomed by the Baroness Nicola and her husband and were instantly brought back in time. The Castle was beautifully decorated. We had a very large room with a 4 poster bed and a large bathroom. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. We chosen to have dinner at the castle and would recommend that anyone staying here should do the same. We had a delicious meal served by our host, who was dressed in traditional clothes, at the large dining table beside a lovely fire which added to the ambiance. After dinner, Nicola, now dressed in tartan, shared the history and stories of the castle. It was such a great addition to our stay. We then retired to the drawing room for a whiskey and a tea. it was such a lovely evening, The next morning we had breakfast in what was the old castle's kitchen - a nice touch. We would highly recommend staying at Leslie castle for a unique and wonderful visit.

This castle was lovingly remodeled in the 1980s to be as historic as possible yet with modern features (bathrooms, electricity). It’s the real experience and Nicola, the current owner, takes great pride in its history! She also serves a wonderful breakfast in the old kitchen castle. Definitely a lovely experience. Our room was huge and bed was comfortable. You are also surrounded by Leslie history if that clan is your family history roots.

Ma femme et moi avons passé de merveilleux moments dans ce magnifique château, les propriétaires Jhon et Nicola Leslie sont très gentils et accueillants. Nous avons très bien dîné et passé une excellente soirée en leur compagnie 🤗. Tout est très propre et confortable. Nous sommes triste de devoir déjà partir. N'hésitez pas à venir y séjourner. A beautiful castle hotel. Nicola was a gracious hostess. She gave us a lovely history of the area and the castle, which made staying their even more enjoyable. The room was comfortable and beautifully decorated. Great breakfast in the morning. Nice family run place. Would stay again.

A little blown away with the amount of work involved to renovate this castle and it looks in keeping with historical era yet was beautiful and comfortable with modern facilities. The family who own and operate the business are very friendly and happily showed us around. Thank you so much for an unforgettable stay.
