"Our group of two couples spent a week in a villa on the beach side of the Umaya Resort and absolutely loved it. The unit was nicely appointed and truthfully feet away from the Caribbean Sea. Anytime we had a concern they were very prompt to respond. They transferred us to and from the Placencia Airport free of charge. "We had an Oceanview room on the first floor and the view from the front porch was outstanding - maybe 50-75’ of beach to the water from the front sidewalk. There were half a dozen palapas spread out on the beach in front of the rental units and the HUGE pool that has a swim-up bar.
