"It was a lovely self- contained property for one or two people. I think it would feel crowded for any more. The hosts even bought a new TV when i couldn't watch the Olympics on the old one. The games room was great but if I hadn't known the people in the cottage next door, I don't know how i would have gained access. "This is a lovely cottage with everything you need and the host is helpful and pleasant. The garden at the back is wonderful for a dog and ours loved zooming round..The only fault we found was the walk to anywhere including the pub was very steep and we never made it all the way and walked for 20mins and turned back. If you are prepared for that then this is a great place to stay."

Single room was excellent, good en suite, super comfortable bed, lots of useful bits like sewing kit, sleep mask and earplugs etc, good choice of beverages, room very clean, nicely furnished plenty of storage. Lovely dining room and excellent breakfast, lots of choice. Loved the little lounge and bar, tables and chairs outside for sunny days. Parking easy. Hotel was just a great place to stay, and excellent valye. Thank you."

"Booking at the last minute, we had been braced for Cairn House to be a run-down B&B, but we were pleasantly surprised to find it was a pleasant, comfy, and well-maintained gem. Our bed had one of the comfiest mattresses we've found in a hotel bed, which were apparently in all the rooms. The owners were friendly, and went out of their way to make sure everything was clean and tidy. All in all, absolutely worth a visit."
