"The hospitality (service and meals) at Shiganoyu Hotel were amazing. While we did not speak Japanese and the staff did not speak English, they used a translation tool for conversation and didn't let that be a barrier. It was so comfortable for our family of 5 - very homey and welcoming. The tea and treat upon check-in was a nice surprise and delicious. The onsen was a relaxing bonus! "I had the best shower and bath of my life there, there's a lot of water pressure and very hot, next to the shower is the onsen bath open all night. The staff was a friendly and attentive the installations are beautiful. They Give you are Yukata that you can wear around town to get into the onsens. I made a reservation for the Japanese style breakfast and it was delicious they serve you Tamago Onsen. Would stay again. Lovely."

"熊の湯ホテルは3回目の宿泊です 建物は古いですが館内はとても清潔で綺麗です。 温泉源泉掛け流し　総檜造りのお風呂は天井が高く、檜のよい香りがしました。 露天風呂は透明な緑で内風呂は乳緑色でとても気持ちの良い温泉です。 そして夕食はもどれもとても美味しくて感激しました　とてもお勧めしたい宿です。"

"We were here for a couple of days and had a wonderful stay! The place is kept clean, and it sits right by the ski hill. Nothing beats a soak in the hot public bath after a day of skiing. Also loved the breakfast and dinner! The gem though was the staff, who were incredibly friendly and went out of the way to help us. "

"Staff was super friendly. They took us to the ski gear rental shop and back again to return the stuff. Their English was ok, enough to explain what buses to take, recommend pistes, etc. We even received a small gift when leaving. I recommend reserving the 3 meal course."
