"Logistically superb - lots of walks, beach, at low tide you can go rock pooling etc. Bus stop right outside - which when the weather isn't great is a useful option to get around. There are small bus routes that loop certain areas - and you get a running commentary so worth jumping on. Hotel is fabulous - views are amazing, food is delicious, and good value, room were exceptional (you must like the sound of the sea) and the staff are kind, informative and go above and beyond. "

"Not a luxury hotel but for the price its pretty good. The room layout is similar to a chain hotel room and it was clean and tidy. The staff were great and always friendly. I never ate here so cant comment on the food. They have entertainment on at the weekends which you can hear in your rooms but its not excessive and finished at 10 pm each night. I would happily stay here again if i found myself in the area. "

"We enjoyed everything at the hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but I didn't mind that too much - it added to the charm because everything worked absolutely fine (shower, TV, kettle). The dining room is very grand and the food exceptional. The staff in the restaurant were super. Most of the staff elsewhere in the hotel were very good and welcoming. "We booked 2 sea view rooms for 3 nights. Only one room had a sea view and the bathroom in that room had black mould around the ceiling. The other room had a very old mattress and the bedding was old and thin. The pillows in that room were flat. We checked out after 1 night and will not be back. Whilst the staff were friendly, this hotel needs refurbishment, new mattresses, new duvets, pillows, blankets and linen. Mould is injurious to health and no hotel of the calibre that this hotel...

"Good amenities - kettle, tea bags, milk. Clean and spacious room for a family. We were allocated to the lower floor facing the car park."

"The room was clean, with modern/quirky tech features. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, providing a place to store our luggage after the check out time. The hotel is in a good location for the Redjet passenger ferry and the high street with bars and restaurants. It is also located a few mins walk from the taxi rank and bus stop that has connections to Newport."

"Great location in city center and close to the ferry terminal. Fully stocked kitchen, if you wanted to cook. The only thing that was a disappointment was that there were no paper towels, napkins, tissues, shampoo, shower gel or soap provided. Very unusual for a vacation rental. Other than that I would Highly recommend. "

"Spotless. Resupply of milk, cookies and other water! Food fabulous! Just a tad noisy it carries, with bar, restaurant all the one room, no carpet but in the summer I am sure with doors open that would soon be fixed."
