"We enjoyed our stay at Newcastle Arms hotel plenty parking space, nice room compact but adequate ,very clean , plenty of tea and coffee amenities.breakfast was excellent so much choice and the black pudding was second to none, the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a reasonably priced break."

"Staff and food were very good but stay was let down by a few niggles. I had booked a table for dinner but there was no record of it when I arrived. I had also asked for a room with a walk in shower but didn't get it. The biscuits on the tea tray were the smallest pieces of shortbread I have seen made worse by having no biscuits at all on my second night. "Great location in the town of Kelso. Staff helpful and friendly. Peaceful garden overlooking the river."

"Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing."

"The cottage is next to the main road. No staying up late in bed in the mornings, the road noise woke us up from 7am. Quiet at night. The location is good, very central to explore Northumberland. Cottage well equipped, especially the kitchen. Communication was good with host. Good options for restaurants (3 within walking distance) and take aways, Coop and Budgens in the village. "
